Consortium Overview

The National NeuroHIV Tissue Consortium so far has enlisted 3,390 participants in its clinical evaluation/tissue donation program. As of May 1, 2024, central nervous system specimens from 1,496 of HIV-infected and control subjects are available. Of HIV-positive participants, 2,137 have at least one plasma sample available, 1,248 have at least three serial plasma samples, and 1,523 have at least one CSF sample available. These numbers change as new samples are added and some of the collected samples are distributed. Please refer to our COHORT REPORTS PowerPoint presentation for more complete details.
